Rhian Symes

I live and work in the Brecon Beacons I only paint in watercolour - creating my images by what I see around me in lakes, canal and my pond. I use the photos I take of water reflection and the changing colourful seasons to create a unique style.


I have received two watercolour awards National exhibition of wildlife. In 2013, i was short listed for artist of the year by Artist & illustrators magazine exhibit  in the Mall galleries in London. I have paintings and prints in American Canada France Germany Switzerland Australia wales and various part of the UK.

In 2008 I joined The Royal Watercolour  Society of Wales. I have exhibited with RWSW. Milan - Freddy the frog painting went on a journey.


I have exhibited in many Welsh museums and universities and galleries. I am now semi retired after ongoing health problems. My work (very few) is now looked after by Oriel CRiC gallery in Crickhowell all inquiries to the gallery.
